Bologna are considering re-signing Emiliano Viviano this summer, after releasing Jean-Francois Gillet to Torino.

With Gillet’s departure now confirmed, the Rossoblu are in search of a replacement No 1 and reportedly are interested in taking Viviano back to the Renato Dall’Ara.

Viviano spent two seasons with the Felsinei, before last summer switching to Genoa on co-ownership with Inter, and then to Palermo, after the Grifone sold on their 50 per cent share in the 26-year-old.

The Italy-capped ‘keeper is confirmed as on his way out of Sicily after just six months, but uncertainty surrounds the plans of his preferred club of Fiorentina.

As a result, Bologna are believed to be considering an offer for the player they famously lost to Inter last summer due to incorrectly filling out the paperwork on the blind auction for him.

Reports earlier today suggested that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in the Italian.
