Ajax’s Bojan Krkic has been left indifferent to the fact that he’ll face former clubs Milan and Barcelona in the Champions League this season.
Ajax have been placed in the same group as the two European giants, a section which also contains Celtic.
“Facing Barca and Milan doesn’t make me glad nor does it bother me,” the 23-year-old told Mundo Deportivo.
“I was watching the draw and I had not even considered that we could end up in that group.
“But I have taken it very positively. In the end, they are tough opponents, but also attractive, and I am very excited to begin the competition.”
Krkic ended up in Holland this summer after problematic spells in Serie A with firstly Roma and then the Diavolo.
“Do I regret going to Italy? No,” he continued. “On the contrary. Every time I make a decision it is because I believe it is best for me.
“And once taken, I give my all and learn as much as possible. The football practiced in Italy is not the best for me, but I enjoyed being with two great clubs.
“I’ve matured as a player and as a person, I have improved tactically, I have met interesting people…I am very pleased with these two years in Rome and Milan.”
The forward scored 10 League goals in 52 Serie A games.
