Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici insists Juventus striker Carlos Tevez “wants a return to us in 2016.”
The patron has been suggesting this for some time and Tevez always said he’d like to finish his playing career with his beloved club in Argentina.
“Tevez’s plan is to wear our jersey again,” declared Angelici in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“To return after such a long time to play two or three ‘comfortable’ years at home. He wants this, his children want it and so does all of his family.

The patron has been suggesting this for some time and Tevez always said he’d like to finish his playing career with his beloved club in Argentina.

“To return after such a long time to play two or three ‘comfortable’ years at home. He wants this, his children want it and so does all of his family.
“Of course, his plans could change over a year and a half, but at this moment his plan is to return to us in 2016.
“I was not surprised when Tevez said he didn’t intend to renew his contract with Juventus. It also goes without saying our door is wide open for him.
“Tevez isn’t just a former Boca player for the fans: he is an idol. The feeling is mutual, as he goes to bed very late in order to watch the Boca games on television despite the time difference.
“He’ll send me text messages during the matches. The day I presented the plan to build a new training centre Tevez was by my side and he promised he’ll be there for the inauguration too.
“I also chatted to Juventus in December and they do not see me as the ‘enemy.’ The reason is simple: they realise that Carlos’ decisions must be respected.
“The player’s intention is the only weapon Boca have to hope for his return in 2016, as our economic situation wouldn’t get us anywhere close to his price-tag or his wages.”
