Daniel Osvaldo is expected in Buenos Aires today for talks with Boca Juniors, who confirm they “just need the all-clear from Inter.”
The striker is an outcast at San Siro after trying to attack teammate Mauro Icardi during a game and then going AWOL from training for two days.
Owned by Southampton, he seems certain to join Boca Juniors on loan for five months with an option to extend.
The extension would be for a further two years, essentially taking him to the end of his current contract with Southampton in June 2017.

“It’s all sorted out with Osvaldo, we are very close to the player,” Boca secretary general Cesar Martucci told reporters.
“Now we just need the all-clear from Inter, but we are confident.”
In this case, the ‘all-clear’ is not just permission to leave, but above all an agreement to stop the legal action against Osvaldo for breach of contract.
