Big clubs want Atalanta duo

Atalanta are adamant that Federico Peluso and Manolo Gabbiadini are on the radar of Serie A’s big clubs.

Peluso has caught the eye in defence for the Bergamo boys, while Gabbiadini is making his mark for the Italian Under-21 side.

“Almost all of the big clubs are interested in Peluso and Gabbiadini,” stated Atalanta technical director Pierpaolo Marino in an interview with SportItalia. “However, that doesn’t mean we want to sell.

“Peluso has a left foot that few in the game possess, while there are no limits on what Gabbiadini can do.

“Just ask Italy Under-21 boss Ciro Ferrara who always plays him even when he doesn’t find space in the Atalanta side.

“Will they move? When a player receives a call from a great team then it is always difficult to resist as was the case with Simone Padoin and Juventus in January.”

Peluso is a 28-year-old full-back who has scored one goal in 24 League games this term.

Striker Gabbiadini, meanwhile, scored his first Serie A goal at the weekend after struggling to get a game behind German Denis and Guido Marilungo.
