Milan joint-CEO Barbara Berlusconi warned “Mario Balotelli is not irreplaceable," Kaka could leave and Juan Iturbe talks.
The daughter of President Silvio Berlusconi spoke to journalists during the launch of a Milan Cruise.
She was asked about Balotelli amid further reports today that Arsenal and Napoli are eager to sign him.
“Balotelli is a great player and a real Italian talent, but nobody is irreplaceable. We’ll see what happens.”
Ricky Kaka is another question mark, as he has a clause in his contract allowing him to walk away before June 30 and is linked with Sao Paulo, plus a future at Orlando City in the MLS.
“Kaka made history with Milan and I know he needs to make this important decision with absolute calm. If he stays then we’ll be happy, but we’ll have to take it into account if he does want to go.”
Berlusconi confirmed reports of an offer for Hellas Verona forward Juan Manuel Iturbe, who is rumoured to be worth €25m.
“Adriano Galliani and my father are working on it. This is a very solid club, among the best in Europe in terms of income,” she said in a Press conference.
“I can guarantee my father still wants to invest in Milan and will restructure it to become even stronger. I hope between 2019 and 2020 Milan can have its own stadium.”
Milan have a new Coach this season, promoting Pippo Inzaghi from the Primavera youth team to replace short-lived tactician Clarence Seedorf.
“Pippo has the winning mentality and I am sure he’ll do well. Our objective is to get back into the Champions League and hopefully his enthusiasm will prove contagious.
“Seedorf arrived during a complicated situation, he did well and I wish him all the best for the future.”
