Benitez: ‘We’re more relaxed now’

Rafa Benitez feels Inter “are a little more relaxed” after their Twente win and revamps his attack against Parma without Samuel Eto'o.

“We are all a little more relaxed now. It was very important to win that match so we could qualify for the next round of the Champions League and concentrate more on Serie A and then the Club World Cup.”

Because of that competition, tomorrow afternoon's game with Parma is Inter's last at San Siro for 2010.

It is also the first of a three-match ban for Eto'o, plus Diego Milito, Douglas Maicon, Walter Samuel, Julio Cesar, Cristian Chivu, Philippe Coutinho, MacDonald Mariga, Joel Obi, David Suazo and Sulley Muntari.

This means the only strikers available are Goran Pandev, Jonathan Biabiany and youth team player Denis Alibec.

“We have to do well and win so that we leave a sweet aftertaste with our fans. I don't know if all three forwards will play together from the start. Clearly Alibec has less experience, but he is doing well with the youth team.

“The media only ever seem to talk about Inter's injuries, but lots of other teams are having similar problems.”

Julio Cesar has a suspected thigh strain and, if confirmed, could miss out on the Club World Cup.

“He was very angry that this story leaked out, as he is working hard with physiotherapists and we'll see how it goes,” added Benitez.

“There is a chance of getting him back in time and we have two weeks. It's not easy to say who will return for the Final.

“The injuries we've had were the only problem in Serie A. When everyone was available, the team went well.”

Inter squad: Castellazzi, Orlandoni, Gallinetta; Cordoba, Zanetti, Lucio, Materazzi, Rivas, Biraghi, Benedetti, Santon, Natalino; Stankovic, Thiago Motta, Sneijder, Cambiasso, Nwankwo; Pandev, Alibec, Biabiany
