There had been real fears Napoli would boycott tomorrow’s Press conference ahead of the Europa League quarter-final against Wolfsburg, but Benitez will be ‘allowed’ to speak.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star newspaper claims Benitez is the hot favourite to replace Manuel Pellegrini on the Manchester City bench.
This is not the first time he has been linked with the position and a recent downturn in form makes it extremely unlikely Benitez will extend his contract with Napoli.
He’s due to become a free agent at the end of the season and consistently refused to discuss his future until at least late April.
As the campaign progressed, it became evident Napoli would not offer Benitez a renewal anyway.
