Serie A legend Gabriel Batistuta has ranked Roma’s Federico Fazio as one of the best defenders in the world.
Fazio has gone from being surplus to requirements at Tottenham Hotspur to a mainstay in Roma’s back four and an Argentina international in the space of a year, prompting Batistuta to hold his countryman in the highest regard.
“The best in my time? Baresi, Nesta, Maldini, Chamot, Vierchowod…” the former Giallorossi striker told Marca.
