Agents representing Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar have arrived at the Inter headquarters, fuelling transfer links with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
Both defenders are much sought-after on the market and the main candidates of players to be sold this summer to balance the books.
Ideally, the Nerazzurri would part with 27-year-old Slovakia international Skriniar rather than Italy’s young star in the making Bastoni.
Sky Sport Italia spotted Tullio Tinti arriving at the Inter headquarters this afternoon, a particularly important figure because he is the agent of both coach Simone Inzaghi and defender Bastoni.
Transfer news live: rumours and done deals with Lukaku edging closer to Inter
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are in a bidding war for Bastoni, who could be available if the offers reach €70m.
Bastoni reiterated last night he wanted to remain at Inter and the club “has not told me anything” otherwise, but that might be about to change with this meeting.
“I have two years of my contract with Inter, so I am relaxed. The club hasn’t told me anything, I am just waiting to go on vacation after this and then start pre-season with Inter,” the 23-year-old said on RAI Sport.
It is widely reported that he will be sold for the right price.
Fabrizio Ferrari, the representative of Skriniar, was also seen entering the Inter building at Viale della Liberazione in Milan.
Skriniar has been linked with Spurs and Manchester United, but now Le Parisien claims he is the primary target for new Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested Skriniar could be used in part-exchange to bring Romelu Lukaku back on loan from Chelsea.
