The 21-year-old is set to swap clubs this winter and has been through a medical at the Renato Dall’Ara. The transfer is not official yet, but seems imminent after the Gambia international thanked the Dea on social media.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Atalanta, who helped me grow as a man all the way from the youth team to the first team squad,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am really happy to have spent fantastic moments with my teammates, having played with them and getting to know them.

“I thank them for all the support and love they have shown me in these years. I also want to thank the staff and coaches I worked under at the youth team and the coach of the first team.

“A big thanks also to the great supporters of the team, even the whole Curva that is always there, for the love they have shown me. I am truly grateful for all your support. I also want to thank the Percassi family. Thanks.”
