“This week, we all met again, and it was a great feeling,” he told Radio Anch’io Sport. “The first step towards normality.
“We have done everything the protocol indicated; we still have positive player but they’re asymptomatic.
“We consider recovering them as soon as possible and will carefully follow the protocol. The desire to return to normal is great.
“In addition to thinking about this season, there are many activities to be carried out in order to define the next one, from season tickets, the transfer market and for the sponsors.
“On May 18, we hope to return to see positives. We are pro playing football, in safety and with the health of all. The real disaster would be to ruin this season and compromise the next one too, nobody can afford that the upcoming one is not regular.
“In any case, we can’t keep the players still for three months. Group training must resume as soon as possible.”
Chiesa and Castrovilli have been linked with moves to the giants of Italian football, but Barone feels the influential pair are ‘happy’ in Toscana.
“Castrovilli is one of the Italian talents we are betting on. He has a great margin of growth and is convinced of our ambitions,” he added.
“Chiesa has overcome his physical problems and has returned to being what everyone has already seen. Federico is happy, he has a contract.
“We’ll see at the end of the season.”
