Former Milan defender Franco Baresi hopes Gianluigi Donnarumma chooses with his heart and signs a new deal with the Rossoneri.
Baresi spent 20 years with the Diavolo and helped them pick up six Scudetti, four Supercoppa Italiana and three European Cups, including the Champions League in 1993-94.
He thinks football has changed since his time, but hopes Donnarumma, who came through the academy at Milanello, will remain at San Siro ‘for many years’.

Donnarumma’s current contract expires in June 2021 and the goalkeeper has yet to renew with the Rossoneri.
“I think football has changed, compared to 20 years ago,” he told Radio Rossonera. “There’s a lot of competition, but I think that Gigio, who also grew up with us, loves Milan.
“He’s 20 years old and is among the best in the world. He already has three to four years of experience and can be an example of inspiration for everyone.
“He has an extraordinary future ahead of him. I hope his heart will prevail and that he will remain with us for many years, with all the satisfactions he deserves.”
