Mario Balotelli promises to give his all to Genoa but admits he doesn’t want to ‘talk much’ and can’t wait to ‘get started.’

The Italian striker arrived in Genoa on Sunday night and began medical tests with Genoa on Monday morning.

He briefly spoke to reporters before beginning medical examinations.

“I am pumped. I don’t want to talk much. I just want to get started,” said the 34-year-old, as quoted by TMW.

“I will give my all,” the striker replied when asked to send a message to Genoa fans.

He concluded by saying that he hopes to be available “soon.”

Balotelli has been without a club since the end of his contract with Adana Demirspor this past June.

A former Serie A striker for Inter, Milan and Brescia, Balotelli scored 52 goals in 141 appearances in Italy’s top flight.

Balotelli is expected to sign a contract until the end of the season.

Genoa have had a tough start to the season collecting just six points in nine matches. They are currently in the relegation zone. Alberto Gilardino’s side lost 3-0 to Lazio on Sunday.
