In spite of yesterday's largely convincing performance in the Rossoneri's 1-0 win over Sampdoria, this has been a troubled season for Super Mario, and his future remains uncertain.
According to InsportPlus, the 25-year-old met Monaco President Rybolovlev, and may consider following in the steps of his former teammate Stephan El Shaarawy, who moved to Ligue 1 for a short spell before being loaned to Roma.
Monaco in turn would have to deal with Liverpool, who own the player, should they wish to sign him.
