Balotelli ‘destroyed camera’

Mario Balotelli made no impact on the game when Brescia lost to Genoa, but he did allegedly destroy a camera and the photographer is furious.

The incident occurred during the second half at Marassi, when Balotelli made way for Alfredo Donnarumma.

An Instagram post from professional photographer Massimo Lovati explained the situation, noting he had left his camera on a tripod next to the pitch as usual, controlled by a remote and 35 metre wire.

“When Mr Balotelli was called back to the bench, he used the camera like a football and kicked it against the advertising boards. The ballboy who saw it happen immediately called me to explain.

“I found the camera and the booster were visibly damaged (the casing was smashed) and the camera no longer worked. Imagine taking your frustrations out on someone’s tools of business!”

The photographer said he told Brescia director Piovani about the incident and warned he would be sending a bill for repairs to the club.

“These are very delicate instruments that should not be kicked. It’s safe to say I am furious: respect, you need respect for people who are working and their tools of business!!!!”
