Ballardini: ‘Scared for Palermo’

Coach Davide Ballardini admits he is 'frightened' after Juventus beat Palermo 4-0: 'But we must turn these feelings around'.

The Rosanero managed to hold on to the 1-0 scoreline for a solid 70 minutes of the game, before crumbling and conceding three times in the last part of the match.

“We could have done better in handling possession,” he told the Press. “After the 2-0 we broke up. When you don't work as a team and you don't keep a tight network, you risk conceding goals. This can't happen again.

“We have to live with fear and unpleasantness. These are the difficulties we have to emerge from. We're certainly worried and frightened, but we'll need to use this to find the right drive and reverse this situation.

“I've been handed a team that cares and is driven. I have players who suffer in this situation, and that must be our starting point to get back up. We have the resources – both human and technical – to fend off relegation.”
