Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agents are currently meeting with Milan directors to complete the move from Chelsea, on loan with option to buy.
Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia note the entourage is in Milan at the club headquarters this afternoon.
Chelsea first had to activate their option to extend his current contract to June 2023, then allow Bakayoko to join the Rossoneri on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
It represents a return to San Siro for Bakayoko, who already played here for 42 competitive games in the 2018-19 campaign.
He spent last season in Serie A as well, on loan at Napoli.
Bakayoko is drafted in because Franck Kessie will be out of action for at least a month following a muscular injury.
The Rossoneri also need other options available for when the Africa Cup of Nations comes around in January, taking away Kessie and Ismael Bennacer.
Pietro Pellegri is having his medical with Milan today too, but the signature on the contract is not expected until tomorrow, on loan with option to buy from AS Monaco.
