There are reports Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Viktor Kovalenko will have his medical with Atalanta this weekend and could join straight away.
The trequartista turns 25 next month and his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk is running down, set to expire in June 2021 and with no intention of signing an extension.
Instead, Tuttomercatoweb and TuttoAtalanta.com claim Kovalenko is set to fly in this weekend for his medical in Bergamo.
The idea was for the Ukrainian to arrive as a free agent in the summer.
