Atalanta didn’t even listen to Tottenham’s offer for Ederson

Multiple reports in Italy claim Atalanta have not even listened to an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for their midfielder Ederson.

Il Corriere della Sera and L’Eco di Bergamo report Atalanta have refused to send Ederson to Tottenham in the January transfer window.

It is reported that Spurs knocked on La Dea’s door to sound out on the midfielder’s availability, but Atalanta immediately said they were not considering selling the Brazilian in the January transfer window. Practically, they didn’t even listen to the offer from North London.

Newcastle had also approached Atalanta for Ederson earlier in the January transfer window, receiving the same answer from the Nerazzurri.

Ederson is a key player for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta having scored six goals in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.

The 24-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder or as a central midfielder. He moved to Bergamo in a €22m deal from Salernitana in the summer of 2022, and his contract at the Gewiss Stadium runs out in June 2026.
