Football-London reports that Italy international Riccardo Calafiori upset Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta in the opening minutes of a Premier League game against Bournemouth on Saturday as he crept into midfield at the wrong time.

Arsenal suffered an away 2-0 loss at Bournemouth on Saturday, and today, Federico Chiesa’s Liverpool could move four points clear of the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table.

Calafiori started for Arsenal on Saturday, but his performance was not entirely convincing.

Football-London reports that Arsenal coach Arteta wasn’t happy with Calafiori in the opening stages of the Bournemouth match as ‘within the first three minutes he was bellowing out’ at the former Bologna star ‘for trying to creep into midfield at the wrong time.’

Calafiori eventually remained on the pitch for 90 minutes, winning six duels from ten and making six clearances.

His Sofascore rating was 6.9/10.

A product of the Roma Academy, Calafiori has one goal in eight appearances across all competitions with Arsenal this season.

Calafiori recently spoke about his summer move to Arsenal, revealing that Daniele De Rossi told him it was one of the best opportunities to develop as a player.
