Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic said the Rossoblu are ‘working to break into the top 10’ in Serie A and thanked the city for a ‘fantastic’ welcome.
The Austria star returned to Europe after two seasons with Shanghai Port in China and admitted he is happy to be back.
The 32-year-old has already scored his first goal with the Rossoblu in a 3-2 win over Salernitana and thanked the fans once again.
“The welcome in the city was fantastic,” Arnautovic told Laola1. “I was extremely surprised and I have often thanked the fans for it.
“I like the project right away. Then, I wanted to get close to my family again, since they couldn’t come to China.
“Being apart for too long was impossible. Now, we all live together and therefore everything is easier.
“I thank Shanghai, but it was nice to come back close to home. I wanted to go back to playing in a high-level league and Bologna did everything to get me.
“We want to break into the top 10 of the championship, we are working towards this target.”
