Alberto Aquilani says he’s ‘happy to have stayed' at Sporting after a move to Sampdoria fell through.
The former Fiorentina and Roma midfielder was linked with a move to the Blucherchiati on deadline day, but the transfer never emerged.
Samp President Massimo Ferrero then went on to say Aquilani was ‘upset’ that he couldn’t join, but the Italy international has moved to deny the suggestion.
“I’m very happy to have stayed, the adventure continues,” he posted on his official Facebook page today.
