Veteran Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia has confirmed via Twitter that he has asked to leave the club.
The 31-year-old has struggled for playing time this season, playing just one game all term – the 1-1 draw with Barcelona in October.
And the shot-stopper has revealed on the social networking site that he will look to leave this month.
“I asked to Dr. Galliani to let me go away, with great regret, but after the last few months is the best solution for everybody,” he said.
