Allegri will reveal three Juventus starters before Chelsea clash

Massimiliano Allegri joked with journalists attending his press conference, saying he will name three starters ahead of their next Champions League match against Chelsea.

The Bianconeri seek their first home game of the season against Sampdoria tomorrow.

Allegri urged his players to “play well and win” telling them to focus on the game, before turning their attention to Chelsea.

The Tuscan coach revealed Leonardo Bonucci and Mattia Perin will start the game against the Blucerchiati and joked with journalists attending the press conference about their following Champions League match with Chelsea.

“Before the game with Chelsea, I’ll tell you three starters, I promise,” the 54-year-old said smiling.

To those who asked him to reveal the whole line-up before Christmas, he replied: “By that time, you should be able to know it without help.”

Juventus had a tough start to their Serie A campaign, collecting just five points from the opening five Serie A games.

They host Sampdoria at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow before meeting Chelsea in Turin on Wednesday.

Both Juve and the Blues won the opening games of their Champions League campaign and are the favourites to go beyond the group stage.

Allegri returned to Juventus in the summer, two years after his sacking. He signed a four-year deal with the Bianconeri.
