Allegri makes history with 300 Serie A victories

Max Allegri has become only the third coach to mark 300 Serie A victories and is just two shy of Nereo Rocco, with just Giovanni Trapattoni out in front.

The Juventus boss oversaw a 3-0 result away to Lecce this evening, which took his total Serie A career tally to 300 wins, 97 draws and 94 defeats.

He had a total 491 games in the Italian top flight on the benches of Cagliari, Milan and two different Juventus stints.

The 56-year-old won six Serie A titles, with Milan in 2010/11 and then five in a row at Juve from 2014/15 to 2018/19.

The only coaches with more Serie A victories than Allegri are Nereo Rocco with 302 and legend Trapattoni on 352.

At Triestina, Padova, Milan, Torino and Fiorentina, Rocco oversaw 302 wins, 256 draws and 189 losses.

As for Trapattoni, he represented Milan, Juventus, Inter, Cagliari and Fiorentina with 352 victories, 210 stalemates and 127 defeats.

The next record in his sights could be achieved in a week’s time, as Allegri is only three short of hitting 1,000 Serie A points.

Only Trapattoni, Rocco and Nils Liedholm – calculating three points for a win – have achieved more than Allegri.
