“On Tuesday we compromised the victory against Inter with four individual technical errors and paid for them against a team of great quality,” said Allegri in his Press conference.
“Individual mistakes can happen, but unfortunately at the moment we are conceding a goal at every error.
“Therefore we need to make more of our chances and possession. We cannot think of playing the entire 90 minutes with the same intensity we showed in the first half against Inter.”
The Bianconeri haven’t conquered the Stadio San Paolo since September 2000 and threw away the lead twice in the Italian Super Cup last month.
“It’s never easy to win at Napoli, but we have everything it takes to get that result. Juve must realise that during games there can be moments of difficulty, so conceding a goal is not a tragedy.
“Matches are won with balance, not by throwing yourselves forward in an excessively risky manner. In order to win tomorrow we need to keep a clean sheet and take our chances. After all, we’ve only conceded eight goals this season and therefore need to improve our finishing.”
Roma could well go top of the table this weekend, as they face Lazio in the Derby della Capitale and are only one point behind Juve.
“You don’t win the Scudetto with 10 or 15 rounds to spare. This is going to be a balanced League right to the end.
“We mustn’t get ahead of ourselves, nor depressed at the first sign of trouble: we are a team aware of our strengths.”
Allegri was also asked about the transfer market after attempts to sign Wesley Sneijder from Galatasaray apparently failed.
“In order to strengthen this squad we need excellent players, but those are difficult to sign in January. We won’t bring in players just for the sake of it, as that would be pointless.
“Arturo Vidal can play any of the midfield roles, including playmaker. Could Paul Pogba cover the trequartista role? It’s unlikely.
“Alvaro Morata is the natural alternative to Fernando Llorente, albeit with different characteristics.”
