Napoli midfielder Allan admits “the time has come to win something here”, after finishing second behind Juventus last season.
The Partenopei took 91 points last term, but even that wasn’t enough to overhaul the Old Lady, who won the title for the seventh season in a row.
“We did very well last year but it wasn’t enough to win the Scudetto,” Allan said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“We’re disappointed, but we’ll try to win something this year. Maybe that will be enough, maybe even more.

“This year I’ll give my all to help the team, the time has come to win something here in Naples.”
Maurizio Sarri has been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti for this season, and the Brazilian was asked about the new Coach.
“The Coach wants to make the whole group feel important, there will be a lot of matches and the time will come for all of us.
“We’ll try to win every game, regardless of the competition, and keep taking it one match at a time.
“It’s easy to work with him, he’s a calm Coach who tries to always let us be free, beyond giving us some advice about our positions on the pitch or the movements we should make.”
