“It’s a good result, above all keeping a clean sheet. I think before the game, we’d all have thought 2-0 was a good result, even if we had the chances towards the end to add more,” Albiol told Mediaset Premium.
“We’ll have to suffer through another 90 minutes in Nice to earn our place in the Champions League. It’s going to be tough and these play-offs always are in August, especially as Nice have already played four competitive games this season and it was our first.
“We know that we have to concede fewer goals than last season and we are making steps forward. If we concede fewer goals, we can aim higher in Serie A and Europe.”
