FIGC Vice-President Demetrio Albertini insists Cesare Prandelli’s threat to pull Italy out of Euro 2012 was “just blowing off steam.”

The betting scandal erupted on the eve of the tournament and has already forced him to drop Domenico Criscito, while Leonardo Bonucci is reported to be under investigation too.

“There is absolutely no risk that Italy won’t go to the Euros,” assured Albertini.

“Prandelli was just blowing off steam after everything that has happened in the last few days.

“We have already clarified everything with the Coach and FIGC President Giancarlo Abete.”

Gianluigi Buffon has been mentioned in the media, although the magistrate has assured there is no evidence against him.

“Will Buffon remain in the squad? Of course, we are talking about nothing,” added Albertini.
