Al-Hilal make offer for Napoli star Osimhen – report

Al-Hilal have reportedly contacted Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to submit an offer for star striker Victor Osimhen.

The Saudi side, backed by sovereign wealth fund PIF, were recently interested in making a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, but have been forced to switch targets after he refused to open talks.

Recent rumours suggested that Al-Hilal have switched focus to Osimhen, who was the star of Napoli’s Scudetto winning campaign last season, netting 26 goals in 32 league games.

As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, Al-Hilal contacted Napoli president De Laurentiis to propose a deal worth around €130m for Osimhen, an offer that was swiftly rejected.

The Partenopei do not want to sell the Nigerian striker this summer and are currently working on tying him down to a new long-term contract. He is valued at around €200m.

A long list of players have already left Europe for the Saudi Pro League this summer, like former Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
