“Certainly his current performances are down on what he delivered at Empoli,” Mario Giuffredi admitted, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He needs time. Napoli is a totally different environment to the one he’s experienced for the past few years at Empoli.
“From Sarri’s words it doesn’t appear that he’s giving great trust to Valdifiori.
“Naples is like any big footballing city, when a player isn’t doing well it’s right that the fans whistle. When he demonstrates his value the city of Naples will welcome him as a major player, and forget he had some subdued performances.
“He’s 29, and he has a mature personality, the whistles are just part of his work. His performance is totally down to the fact he’s part of something completely new.”
