Taison’s representatives have confirmed that Roma are in talks to sign the Shakhtar Donetsk winger.
A wide midfielder is back on the agenda for Roma after Diego Perotti’s serious thigh injury, and Taison seems to fit the bill.
“There’s interest and the fact that Fonseca is at Roma helps a lot,” Diego Dornelles told LaRoma24.
“There’s been contact, but things still need to be defined. They will be this week.”

Fabricio Dornelles added to RomaPress: “Talks are ongoing. Roma are interested and it’s possible the operation could be defined this week.
“We haven’t gotten to that point yet [of a transfer fee] in talks.”
The 31-year-old worked under Giallorossi boss Paulo Fonseca at Shakhtar between 2016 and 2019, winning three League titles.
He has 44 goals and 71 assists in 242 appearances for the Ukrainian champions, as well as eight Brazil caps.
