Agent: ‘No possibility of Lautaro Martinez leaving Inter’

Lautaro Martinez has been linked with clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, but his agent assures ‘there is no possibility he will leave Inter.’

The striker broke a 10-game goal drought with last night’s hat-trick in a 5-0 Serie A victory over Salernitana at San Siro.

That result put the Nerazzurri top of the table, awaiting Napoli-Milan on Sunday evening.

“Lautaro was very angry with the ball for not wanting to go into the net,” agent Alejandro Camano told Calciomercato.it, referring to the rage-filled celebration for that opening goal, punching the corner flag.

“It was a very sensitive moment for a lad who cares so much about the club colours he represents. We are all very happy after this fantastic night with his three goals, as it’s the opportunity to put that anger behind him.”

During the goal drought, which in Serie A had lasted since mid-December and in all competition since early January, there were reports Inter were prepared to sell Lautaro Martinez over the summer for circa €70m.

“He is staying at Inter,” assured Camano.

“Lautaro has a five-year contract with Inter, he feels like an Interista. Inter are the team in his heart. He feels like an extra fan on the pitch.

“His family is also very happy in Milan. I can say with certainty: there is no possibility that Lautaro will leave Inter. He cares so much about winning with this club.”
