The Partenopei superstar was banned for four matches after a disagreement with the referee in the last game against Udinese.

The sporting judge's decision caused huge controversy within the Napoli environment, with the club recently deciding to withdraw from the polemics by going into Press silence.

According to La Repubblica, the latest development sees the club's President joining Higuain to make his case against the ban in person.

Higuain already announced that he will show up at the court himself and read a statement. This is a very unusual course of action, as players normally let their lawyers settle this without involving them personally.

However unusual, De Laurentiis has no problem in doing the same thing himself, and will be in the courtroom alongside El Pipita to defend the club's position.
