ADL: Fans should be happy

Aurelio De Laurentiis believes Napoli fans should be “happy and content” with the club’s general performance under him.

De Laurentiis has taken Napoli from a phoenix club in Serie C to the upper echelons of Serie A in little over a decade, and their President reminded supporters not to forget where the side were before his arrival in 2004.

“Stadiums like cinemas? No, stadiums are different,” the film producer told Gazzetta TV.

“Stadiums like cinemas? No, stadiums are different,” the film producer told Gazzetta TV.

“Football matches aren’t scripted like films. They’re written at once and in a different way. Going to a stadium becomes almost like a ritual.

“After that, there are those who study it on TV by listening to the fabulous comments or lowering the volume because they get annoyed by them.

“Napoli are fine. They’ve been a healthy club for as long as I’ve been there, with extraordinary fans, in a city where nothing works.

“I’m not saying it's a miracle, but if we look at how we’re viewed in Europe, I think we should be happy and content.”
