ADL: ‘Anything possible for Napoli’

President Aurelio De Laurentiis says “anything is possible” for Napoli this season.

The Vesuviani are two points clear of Juventus at the top of the Serie A, and face the Bianconeri in Turin on February 13.

“Juve-Napoli is the game of all games,” De Laurentiis told Mediaset after today’s 14-0 friendly win over San Vito Positano.

“For now we have nothing to regret, but there are a number of difficult games between now and February 13.

“Everything is possible, especially in a campaign like this one.”

De Laurentiis also discussed the transfer market, with the window to close on Monday.

“I leave the new signings to my sporting director [Cristiano Giuntoli] who knows what Napoli need.

“[Coach Maurizio] Sarri is a great guy, he doesn’t choose the players but he asks for certain characteristics. He knows both [Federico] Barba and [Vasco] Regini.

“Now everything is in Giuntoli’s hands, he has to decide whether to go for experience or youth. I’ll accept any decision my sporting director takes.

“With a defender and a midfielder there’s no need to reinforce other departments, where we already have two options.

“I was disappointed that the last one [Alberto Grassi] was injured as soon as he arrived, fortunately it was nothing serious.”
