Roma star striker Tammy Abraham wanted to take the penalty kick against Juventus last night and reacted to the Giallorossi’s defeat with a message on social media.
The former Chelsea striker argued with Jordan Veretout before the break as he wanted to take a penalty kick against Juventus.
Veretout is Roma’s designated penalty kick tacker, given that the Frenchman had netted 13 spot-kicks from 13 before the game against the Bianconeri.
However, Wojciech Szczesny managed to deny the former Fiorentina playmaker, saving his fifth penalty kick in 2021.
Roma lost their third Serie A game this season after facing defeats against Lazio and Hellas Verona.
Abraham, scorer of two goals in eight Serie A appearances so far, reacted to Roma’s loss on social media.
The former Chelsea starlet posted two pictures on Instagram, writing: ‘Tough one to take, we learn and build.’
Roma return to action in the Conference League on Thursday against Bodo Glimt and host table leaders Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
