Juventus could loan Daniele Rugani to Napoli in exchange for Juan Camilo Zuniga in January.

According to Sportitalia, this deal would effectively solve problems for both clubs.

Rugani arrived from Empoli at the end of a bidding war, but has managed only one appearance this season for two minutes.

It's a huge step down considering he played every minute of last term for Empoli and avoided getting a single yellow card.

The Italy Under-21 international has been repeatedly called to Napoli for a transfer or at least a loan spell, but Juve slammed the door every time.

That situation could change because Napoli are offering Zuniga as part of the move and the Colombian would provide a badly-needed alternative for Juventus at right-back.

Following heart surgery, it’s not clear when Stephan Lichtsteiner will be fully back to his best, while Martin Caceres also had several injury problems.

Zuniga can play in a four-man defence or on the right side of a 3-5-2 further up the field, so gives Max Allegri tactical versatility.

The 29-year-old is experienced in Serie A and the Champions League, but was frozen out at Napoli over the summer due to a contract dispute.
