After weeks of speculation, Sampdoria have officially beaten Inter to signing Chievo full-back Ervin Zukanovic.
“I am happy to be here, but also tired, so I plan to rest tonight before getting to work tomorrow morning,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Inter wanted me, but I decided it was best for my future to come to Sampdoria.”
The 28-year-old Bosnian left-back had been all set to join Inter when the move suddenly stalled.
Samp dived in and secured his signature for €2.9m plus ownership of Fabrizio Cacciatore.

The Blucerchiati confirmed the deal by posting a picture of Coach Walter Zenga welcoming Zukanovic to their training camp.
Zukanovic joined Chievo from KAA Gent in July 2014, initially on loan and then activating a €1m option to buy.
