Gianfranco Zola is in the dark about whether he’ll be joining Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea – “I think the parties are working on it”.
The Blues want to appoint the Italian as their new Coach, with club legend Zola taking a role on his staff.
However, they’re yet to resolve Antonio Conte’s situation or find a deal with Napoli to release Sarri from his contract.
“There’s so much talk…” Zola told Sky.

“There are many teams who would like a Coach like Sarri. I think the parties are working on it, but I don’t know anything more.
“Antonio Conte? He did a great job. If Sarri were to go to Chelsea I hope he’s allowed to work as he wants, because that’s how he can improve teams.
“It’s definitely a different challenge, Chelsea is a new situation. I hope Maurizio will get the chance to do top work.”
