The Partenopei went down 1-0 in Turin, a result which saw the Bianconeri overtake them at the Serie A summit, and the former goalkeeper believes the pressure got to Maurizio Sarri’s team.
“Juve were good, while Napoli didn’t play with their usual ruthlessness,” Zoff explained on Radio Onda Libera.
“I don’t think Sarri made a mistake in the match, probably Napoli suffered with the responsibility, I saw they were a little bit contracted and struggled to express themselves as before.
“A point between the two isn’t much of a difference, but Juve are more used to playing to win.
“One incident decided the match, but Napoli didn’t play with their usual ruthlessness. Juve seemed happy with even a draw and at the end they managed to find the right way to unlock it.”
The former Juventus ‘keeper then discussed their chances in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
“They can do it if they play as they did last year. They’re facing one of the strongest teams in Europe, but they [Bayern] have problems in defence.
“For me, the Bianconeri have a good chance.
“Roma against Real Madrid? [Luciano] Spalletti knows his stuff and has already beaten Real. The Giallorossi have improved, even if their facing a team of the highest level.”
