Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly hopes to start training with the rest of the group next week.

The Rossoneri veteran continues to work hard in the gym and the swimming pool, but he’s expected to soon be back in training with the rest of the Milan players.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Swede will finally return to training on Monday, when he could be back on the grass at Milanello.

The newspaper claims he will initially start running and take one step at a time, but hopes to be back in contention for the new season.

Milan have three more friendlies before the opening game against Sampdoria on August 23, as they are scheduled to play Valencia tomorrow, followed by games against Real Madrid and Panathinaikos.
