Zlatan on a mission

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to Milan by Thursday with the target of reaching double digits for the 15th consecutive season.

The Rossoneri hero returned to San Siro in January and has bagged four goals in his second stint at Milan, including goals in his comeback against Cagliari and in the Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

Ibrahimovic also scored in the Coppa Italia match against Torino and against Genoa in the last match before the forced break due to the coronavirus emergency.

The 38-year-old has been able to train in his native Sweden during the quarantine and has kept himself in shape for a return to Italy, in view of resuming training at Milanello.

He will have 12 games to score the six goals required to reach double digits for the 15th season in a row.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported Zlatan’s record of 15 seasons on the bounce reaching at least 10 goals between the League and the cups (in seasons where he has played at least 10 games).

Zlatan has scored 460 goals in 751 games during his career and has played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and LA Galaxy.
