Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained even on a day off and aims to be ready for the match against Hellas Verona in Serie A.

The Swede was called up for international duty but has struggled with an Achilles injury and has only played once in the League with Milan this term, scoring after coming off the bench against Lazio.

Sky Sport Italia reports the 40-year-old is doing better, as his conditions are monitored every day, and the broadcaster reveals he could be in the match day squad against Verona.

Olivier Giroud is doing well and should be available for the upcoming Milan games after the current international break.

The Rossoneri are preparing for a busy October, with a trip to Porto in the Champions League three days after Verona’s visit in Milan.

The Diavolo then face Bologna and Roma away, on either side of a home game against Torino in Serie A.

  1. To be fair to them, if Giroud can keep himself injury-free then I think he’ll do fine, and he isn’t of an age where he is likely to be constantly injured… Ibra, I expect to rarely see him this season, but I expect him to be continuing to instill a winner’s mentality in the team from the sidelines. Even if he never plays again this season, I think he still contributes mentally.
