The French coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia after Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over Liverpool on Tuesday, when Los Blancos secured an advantage ahead of the return leg on Merseyside in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Zidane was happy with the win but stressed the La Liga giants still have to complete the job.

“We can be happy with the game we played but there’s a return leg and we must finish the job,” Zidane told the broadcaster.

“But I repeat, we can be happy with the match tonight, because we played a complete game.”

The World Cup winner was then asked if it was likely to see him return to Italian football, and Zidane said he still has a special relationship with the Bianconeri, where he spent five years as a player between 1996 and 2001.

“Italy is always in my heart. Juventus have always been important to me,” the 48-year-old continued. “I don’t know [if you will see me in Italy again]. Now I’m here. Let’s see.”
