The managerial merry-go-round is spinning again with reports Zinedine Zidane will join Juventus, Max Allegri take over at Inter and Antonio Conte go to Real Madrid.

Just days after the regular season concluded, Conte terminating his contract with Inter by mutual consent has sent shockwaves through European football.

As part of the agreement, Conte cannot sign for another Serie A club in the 2021-22 season, so going abroad is his only option.

Tottenham Hotspur had been mentioned for a return to the Premier League, which he won with Chelsea, but Tuttomercatoweb and Diario AS pointed him towards Real Madrid.

It seems that idea has legs, because this evening Sky Sport Italia reporter Fabrizio Romano claimed that Zidane had decided to leave Real Madrid with immediate effect.

Zidane has long been the ideal choice for Juventus, who until a few hours ago had been in advanced negotiations with Max Allegri for a return to Turin, being unsure of Andrea Pirlo’s suitability.

With his availability, suddenly the Bianconeri dropped everything and Juve reporter Luca Momblano suggested they sent a delegation to Madrid immediately for talks.

This then makes Allegri the favourite for the Inter job, having already replaced Conte at Juventus and gone on to win five consecutive Serie A titles.

That is also likely because Simone Inzaghi is having dinner with Lazio President Claudio Lotito this evening and seems set to extend his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

Inzaghi had been the other strong contender for the Inter role.
