Zidane could scupper Juventus’ attempts to sign Pogba – report

Juventus‘ attempts to sign Paul Pogba could be put in jeopardy by Zinedine Zidane, according to reports in Italy.

France international Pogba is reportedly to close to agreeing a free transfer to Turin giants once his contract with Manchester United expires on June 30.

His availability has alerted many of Europe’s top clubs but Juve appear to be winning the race for his signature due to their relationship with the player following his four years with the club from 2012 to 2016.

However, Tuttosport report that while Juve director Pavel Nedved has been in regular contact with Pogba’s entourage, the possible arrival of Zidane as manager at Paris Saint-Germain could convince the 29-year-old to choose the Ligue 1 giants.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to leave his position soon and Zidane is among the favourites to replace him.

The French champions are one of the sides reportedly interested in signing Pogba, while Real Madrid and even Manchester City have also been linked with a move.
