Brazilian legend Zico believes that former club Udinese can battle for the Italian championship this term.

The Stadio Friuli side are currently top of the League with Juventus, but few are talking of them as genuine title challengers.

Yet while pundits rave about the Scudetto chances of Napoli and the Old Lady, Zico is refusing the rule out the Udine-based club.

"Udinese have to think big," the Iraq boss, who played for the Zebrette between 1983 and 1985, told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"They should not discount anything right now because anything can happen in this game of football.

"Napoli? I think they are good enough to win the League," added the South American. "They are excellent overall and have some great individuals.

"With regards to Juventus, it is perhaps a little bit too soon to judge. They've made a good start, but the road is long."

Juve and Udinese – who finished seventh and fourth respectively last term – have 11 points from five games, while Napoli are just a point behind.

In Week 7, Udinese travel to Atalanta, Chievo host Juventus and Napoli entertain Parma.
