Inter President Steven Zhang reveals when he realised they could win the Scudetto and looked back over his five years at the club.

The Serie A trophy was lifted at San Siro this afternoon, following a 5-1 win over Udinese to round out the season.

“It’s a special moment, a special feeling,” Zhang told DAZN.

“All the work we’ve done over the past five years since I joined the club, the support of the fans, and hopefully this is something we can share with everyone all over the world. We all deserve to be happy today.”

Zhang was asked when he realised Inter could clinch the Scudetto for the first time since 2009?

“To be honest, at the very beginning of the season when we had the first win. I spoke to people and said we could win this year. When we felt strongest was in Winter when we beat Juventus, performed very well during that match and the belief among the players really grew from there.

“Thanks to all the people I trust in the company, who surround me. We came to Europe and hoped we’d bring an important trophy for this club. And we did it.

“The work has been done by the players and coach, but also all those who worked and supported us all here over five years.”
